Soccer Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the international break, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
