The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous official descriptions mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of gossip to those who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely regarded as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often getting absorbed in their feelings. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to pick Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
