The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and animated series.
This performer is joined by several other new cast members set to bring the organization to the screen, such as chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is set to return for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
