The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
