White House Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Released
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" images from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—a portion of which have been seen before—along with another 70 issued later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is examining the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Featured among the prominent personalities shown in the first release are well-known figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump appears in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Response
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative remarked, insisting that "this presidency has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by consistently demanding disclosure, making public numerous documents of records, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's liberal connections."
Panel Member Statement
The images were released without context, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's links with wealthy individuals.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a comment.
The publication of these materials occurs alongside the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the Epstein matter.
